Employability Study: Future engineering Professionals in Chile

In 2013, the School of Engineering at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC) revamped its curriculum in order to offer students in the engineering program the possibility of graduating with a bachelor’s degree after 4 years, as an alternative to going through the conventional degree program lasting 5.5 years. It became clear over time, however, that few students were actually pursuing this new path.

To address this, the School of Engineering at PUC paired up with Integration to develop a study focused on understanding employability opportunities for graduates from the bachelor’s degree program. The study interviewed over 25 companies and 10 foreign universities and conducted a survey of over 1,000 executives and 800 students. You can find the complete results from this study here.
