Contributing to future engineering professionals in Chile!

Its results challenged commonly held beliefs

For decades, it has been thought that engineers should only enter the job market in Chile once they have graduated.

A recent study we published on employability in partnership with the School of Engineering at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC-Chile) suggests this may not be the case.

Conducted in 2020, the study showed that more than 70% of companies surveyed were willing to hire engineering students starting from the fourth year of graduation (junior year). Currently, engineering students take five and a half years to graduate.

The study highlights the connection between the professional career and the academic progress of students and could potentially represent a “break” in the paradigms used in the Chilean market.
