The Inward Investment programme is offered for free by the British government, with the main objective of promoting the United Kingdom as Europe’s most convenient commercial expansion destination. For this reason, it is responsible for supporting companies who want to open commercial operations in the United Kingdom, making it easier for them to get market information and supporting their expansion process.
Companies in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru and other Latin countries that are interested in expanding their operations to the United Kingdom have the possibility of joining the programme. We work with companies of all sizes and from different sectors. There are no requirements for the size of the investment nor the pre-established deadline to be able to remain in the programme.
The DIT team, made up by professionals in Latin America and in the United Kingdom, is responsible for supporting each company in its internationalization process. Some of the ways are:
- Providing market information to build the business;
- Helping in the definition of the entry strategy, with relevant inputs;
- Helping interested companies get in touch with local experts, advisors and associations;
- Coordinating trips to the United Kingdom, to prospect the market;
- Supporting the opening of the operation in the United Kingdom (opening of the company, bank account, amongst other procedures).
During this time, over 400 companies already joined the programme and over 25 opened their doors in the European region.
Moreover, we organized events known as Commercial Missions to the United Kingdom, in which we take interested companies to get to know the market, talk to local specialists and to British companies to understand the market personally.
