Integration Shares Insights at the World Ports Conference

The 2021 World Ports Conference

On June 24, Paulo Piccini was invited by one of our close partners, Porto do Açu, to present Integration’s knowledge and insights with a group of industry experts at the 2021 World Ports Conference.

This annual, world-class event assesses the indispensable role of ports in global maritime trade, bringing together key industry stakeholders for learning, information sharing, networking, and collaboration – this year held in the unprecedented format of a television broadcast from the studio in Antwerp, Belgium.

During the live broadcast for the Latin America panel addressing sustainable business opportunities, Paulo shared first-hand insights about the challenges of the energy transition and decarbonization.

Highlighting the fact that the greenhouse gas (GHG) performance of ships is becoming an additional point of differentiation in the context of public and private efforts to “green” their value chains, Paulo walked viewers through the six pillars towards effective decarbonization.

Referencing the pioneering green energy hub at Porto do Açu, his key message was that “decarbonization and energy transition are big challenges but ones that can bring interesting opportunities for the future.”

We would like to thank Porto do Açu for the invitation to present at this very important industry event and all the participants for their engagement.
