Integration’s Andrea Aun in Revista SA+
Brazilian food retail, 60 to 65% of products account for less than 20% of sales. The figure comes from Integration founding partner Andrea Aun, one of the specialists heard by Revista SA+ for the cover story of its latest edition, on the slowdown in volume and the shift toward a leaner, more deliberate assortment.
As Andrea argues in the piece, optimizing the mix is less a technical exercise than a change in commercial culture, beginning with what commercial meetings are set up to achieve. “It means eliminating the duplicated offer that confuses the consumer and turns inventory, which should be an asset, into a cost that drains the retailer’s bottom line,” she told the magazine.
The article opens Decisões de Impacto, a three-edition Revista SA+ series covering assortment, supplier selection and in-store execution. This first edition sets the specialist views alongside the Costco model and case studies from Grupo Mateus, Roldão Atacadista and Grupo ABC, offering valueable insights for anyone working on mix in the Brazilian market.
Our thanks to the Revista SA+ team for including Integration’s perspective.
